Too bad US had to overthrow the socialist secular government in Afghanistan and then subject it to decades of unending destruction. US regime is directly responsible for everything we see happening in Afghanistan today.

They did have some not so great time trying to prevent Taliban from gaining power. It wasn't very succesful.

And of course the Taliban itself is what the CIA turned Mujahideen into.

No, that's on Afghans themselves. US armed the mujahideen fighters and a faction of that diverse group later on formed Taliban (and their opposition)
