Perhaps I have the wrong impression of ballet, but isn’t there way more prolonged close contact between men in men’s rugby than in ballet?
You're giving too much logic to a homophobic train of thought. These the same people who, while hating gays and trying to stop them fucking, create the most aggressively homoerotic places known to man in gendered schools, locker rooms, and construction sites.
Also if I was an homophobic dad trying to make my child not gay, I would send it to a room full of girls dacing in tights, not to a room full of sweaty hairy men, touching each other and ending up in communal showers.
