A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

H. L. Mencken. “For every problem, there is a solution that is simple, elegant, and wrong.”

Not too be too pedantic but this is the full, accurate quote from Prejudices: Second Series, "Explanations exist; they have existed for all time; there is always a well-known solution to every human problem—neat, plausible, and wrong."

Dude! I’ve been using that for years, never thought I had the quote wrong! Thank you!

Gotta ask - which book is your favorite? Love the Chrestromathy and the books he wrote about his youth.
