I did about that most for a couple years, and after a few weeks, I got really used to it. It took me about 35-45 min once I got into the rhythm, but was closer to an hour at the start.
I recommend working up to it. You don't want to commit and really regret it on the way home, or get a flat halfway and end up late to work.
My current job is more than twice as far away, so I don't bike commute anymore (that's a goal for this year though), but I really enjoyed it when I did.
