If you've never heard the MTV Unplugged version, do yourself a favour.
Behind the 80's synthpop cheerfulness there's a lovely sad song.
Makes me reminiscent of when most artists sounded good without each song needing 80 hours of studio work and autotune. There's still some, but now it seems like the fewer instead of the greater.
