Abolish 'The Left' (www.youtube.com)
submitted 5 months ago by commie@lemmy.dbzer0.com to c/videos@lemmy.world

i don't know how i got linked to this channel but i kept clicking on videos because i like him and his style and his politics.

and i just gotta say

i saw some highly dunkable libs saying things like "don't link me to people who make an argument. you need to use your own words or i'm going to block you." and now i want, desparately, to link them to this video in particular.

the end bit is the best where he says (im paraphrasing) "if someone says that we can't show solidarity with palestine because then our team won't win, then you can say 'fuck your team' and just be in solidarity with oppressed people because the people saying that are dum-dum doo-doo heads" and i really felt that.

i know shoe exists, but i don't really know much more beyond that and i don't know who xan is at all. does all this lore really shade the video i linked tho? i think it's good analysis.

I dont particularly like either of those people (shoe is at best a personable centrist and xan is just weird imo) but they serve as good examples of Mildred being a pos. Shoe made a very good point about the left ignoring/denying men's issues and that being bad for both the left and men (it's essentially why tate exists). The accusations against xan are entirely baseless (random, even) and underscore how ts will gladly throw people under the bus for drama.

That said i won't say Mildred has never and will never say anything correct, but I'm not about to put the time and attention into hearing them out.
