I mean. Having dealt with my black cats, I'm pretty confident that void cat was saying "PICK ME UP! MY GOD, WHY IS IT TAKING YOU SO LONG TO PICK ME UP"
My black kitty does not want be to be picked up, but rather would prefer that you stoop down at a very awkward angle to give him pets at floor level.
