  • Brush: Maggard 24mm Synthetic
  • Razor: Blackland Era - Level 3 SB
  • Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
  • Lather: Central Texas Soaps - Cherry Pipe - Soap
  • Post Shave: Noble Otter - Hamami - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Nivea Sensitive Balm
  • Fragrance: Brut - EdT

Great shave. Pushed the water to crazy levels and the soap took it like a champ. Central Texas advertised their shave soap as being thirsty, and I always appreciated that. Even Barrister & Mann, whose soaps I've always found extra thirsty, never mentions it in their ad copy.

In actuality, the time difference is small between lathering a thirsty soap and one that isn't thirsty, but experience is required. However, I think some folks believe that a thirsty soap will take a long time to lather. Kudos to Central Texas Soaps for providing information to help their customers achieve a good lather from their product.
