This was a shave test for a new edge on this Shumate 4/8 razor. I think the edge is just fine so I'll be shipping this razor to its owner.

Very close comfortable shave with two razors that will ship tomorrow. A U-No 9/16, and a Max Hessmer 5/8.
Nuàvia Verde is a wonderful fresh, bright, citrusy scent. Seems very Italian to me. Perfect for a hot summer day.
Shaving with a straight isn’t much like riding a bike
Give it some time 🙂 After a DE shave, my skin feels slightly raw on application of a splash. I don't get this after a shave with a straight razor. Neither type of razor gives me irritation.

The Stirling Mountain Man/Creed Silver Mountain Water combo was perfect for a hot and humid day here in Maryland. Todays shave was a test of my first edge from my new Olympus Stone. The stone provided an excellent quality edge overall. It felt to me very much like an edge from a dense Black Arkansas stone, though the makeup and feel of these two stones is very different. I look forward to much more experience with this Olympus Stone.

Even though it is a fougère Friday, I was in the mood for the refreshing scent of Roman Spice. This was a very quick shave, but totally enjoyable.
Chris let me sniff the Crangère and Legenberry fragrances at the Maggard Meetup. I preferred Legenberry. I mentioned that I wasn’t getting much cranberry from Crangère. Chris thought that was because I was expecting more of a candied cranberry. That might be true. My recollection of large swampy bogs of cranberries in Massachusetts is more bog than berry.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable Buena Vista Wetshaving Social Club (BVWSC) day, and thanks to @BossHoggins10@sub.wetshaving.social for providing the smush of Irving Park.
I already know that I enjoy Vida's soap base, but this was a new scent for me. Mr. Hoggins was kind enough to provide the scent notes, and I'm also aware that this is a dupe of Yves St. Laurent Rive Gauche. I really like this scent and it is another that I will put on my list of soaps to buy from Chicago Grooming.
