If Firefox just gonna keep using WebKit everywhere, there are two negative consequences:

-Apple will claim browser devs are not willing to make a switch even when given opportunity to, which will give them ammo to lobby closed ecosystem again -Firefox will ship on all iPhones with limitations of WebKit, instead of liberating at least some.
