Or, you know, buy a better case from a more reputable company.

Yes I know what community this is and that I'll just get downvoted. But if it's accepted that you have to rely on warranty because the product is bad, then why the heck would one support that demonstrably bad product?

To cut costs!

I had an iPhone X with an Apple black leather case for 4 years and it was good, now I have the iPhone 14 with an Apple purple leather case for over a year and it’s mostly lost color and became black, but the integrity is ok.

Ok sure, I don't disagree with that. Thanks for the honest answer.

But you’re right. A friend got the fine woven and it lasted 3 months.

Ouch. But yeah, I totally get it: if it's still cheaper to just replace it a lot, that's valid. Either people not buying it or people replacing it a lot (for free) should hypothetically have the same effect for Apple.

Edit: unless the cost of the Apple case up front is significantly higher than other options! In which case the math may not work out cleanly. And of course, the time taken for the warranty stuff = money.

Sorry I’m just saying that if you spent the crazy amount of money on the case, you probably want to get some use out of it before moving on to a different case. At least that’s what I thought. The Apple case is shit, but I’m going to keep taking it in for warranty if it keeps breaking at least until I’ve gotten like two years out of it.
