Idk if I don't like lemonade or peanut butter I'm going to mind my business and not judge people who do, so what is there to be curious about? Same shit different spoon, and being a bigot isn't a good look.

Given their eye roll emoji response to another commenter and general phrasing I'm gonna go with general ignorance, but yes I would agree with you generally speaking. Not many good intentions come from a "just curious..." in my experience.
