What kind of beer would you put there?

Right there? None. No beer of any kind should be room temp. Dark beers like stouts and black ales can be served in the mid 40's to 50's but most everything else is below 50.
Personally, I like Guinness and coffee stouts at the house.
But if I'm out shooting pool and planning on drinking a fair amount I'll just get a cheap pitcher of pisswater beer like Miller light.
Yah, I hope he put it there just for the pic, then moved it to the fridge.
