No but it's silly and whiny, people listen to weird complaints like this and form opinions without trying the operating system. People who frustrate them selves trying to do unnecessary super user work put a bad face on the system. There are definitely difficult parts to Linux but unless youre trying to do super obscure shit you really won't run in to issues. It's like someone trying to drive a car and screaming "the blinker isn't in the same spot as my last car, the gear shift is different then my last car why is it so bad? Hey Google why does my car look like shit after I spray painted it?" It's annoying and weird. Linux does have a cult but so does windows that's just as annoying it's just not here on lemmy
