If everyone had this subjective reality we would not have survived as a species. I have similar experience with having to manually intervene in signal processing.

I'm sure "the average person" occasionally misreads a signal but it is not the same thing.

This is actually a very nice thing to hear from someone, thanks for that.

The gravity of it is difficult to really explain to others, because it's a weird concept, and an explanation usually only covers one aspect, but the reality is that the example that I gave is a truly constant occurrence and means I end up using most of my energy in a given day just troubleshooting what my own body is trying to tell me. I also think a big difference is for many others, misread signals will sort themselves out by becoming clear without much active intervention before it's an issue, and that rarely happens in my experience.
