Sync is a perfectly fine app for me. I tried all other apps and nowhere near to sync. I don't even have ads on the free version as I am using dns ad blocker. The moment one time payment for removing ads is out(it is coming), I will buy it. Or I will donate to dev in some other way as I am not a fan of subscriptions.
they?
he.
there is 1 dev.
A very deserving dev
I used sync for reddit for so many years and paid $2... I just paid the ad removal price on the new app right away. Even if the app ends up sucking, i want to support the dev for all the previous work
I will definitely consider switching to FOSS option though
I have the option to remove ads in Sync right now. =)
With subscription
Edit: nevermind, the one time purchase is up now!
And without. The update already provides the option to just Remove ads.
I bought the subscription for one year to support the developer. I hate subscriptions though. I can't see a one time purchase...
You gotta update the app. It's there now
There's just nothing that comes even close to Sync for me. Happy to support the developer.
I do not have ads either....but no idea why I do not have an ad blocker, they just appear.empty for some reason.
Yeah they are empty on my phone too, and I've never used any DNS-adblocking on my home network. I suspect it might be because whatever ad system Sync uses currently just doesn't have any ads for my country, but I don't actually know.
It's the same in the US (for me at least) also, either it's not working just yet, or it's just a placeholder for now, you never know with pre-release apps.
I've tried different reddit third party apps for months at a time, and I've got to say, Sync is probably the best app I have used in terms of designs and fluidity.
Same I haven't seen a single ad. I'll probably pay to removed them anyways but I want to evaluate the competition first
What adblocker are you using?
I am using a private dns ad blocker. android phones have the option to change the dns server, I changed it to dns.adguard.com
Best option on Android: Netguard, the F-Droid-version. The Google Play Store version has no adblocking capability.
