We all thought Trump‘s criminal trials or knocking off him the ballot would be the answer to prevent all of this, but in a little over four days, the State of New York might force him into bankruptcy. It will be very interesting to see the effects of that on his campaign and future chances to be president.

I could see an armed sit-in in response to a Trump property being seized by the courts, a la Bundy Ranch. They've already been spinning this case as baseless partisan suppression of Trump and we know they will stoop to violence if things don't go their way.

I can’t think of anything that would make the NYPD happier. Unlike the Capital Police in DC or the well-trained and restrained National Guard, the NYPD is the size of other countries’ armies and just as well equipped. If those MAGA crazies try that shit in New York City, they won’t know what fucking hit them.

Although, to be realistic, almost every Trump protest in NYC has amounted to no more than a dozen or so goofballs showing up and just walking around, aimlessly. and then the hundred or so looky-loos and press people show up to laugh at them.

Cops don't like to put the boot in nearly as hard with right wing civil unrest. They know their friends are in the crowd.
