I hesitate to recommend Iced Earth since the bandleader is a raging POS but they fit the bill

Nightwish is more symphonic than power but they're top notch and might scratch that itch

I went to Kamelot's show last weekend, if you don't know them definitely check them out. Opening act was Ad Infinitum, I didn't know them but I was blown away! Melissa Bonny is an amazing singer.

power metal

If you let hardcore bleed into the selection a bit, here are some favorites:

  • Pantera
  • Godsmack
  • NIN (Broken EP has more power metal in it than industrial, see "Last")
  • Rollins Band (End of Silence is so great)
  • Hatebreed (Concrete Confessional and Supremacy)
  • Chimaira
  • Lamb of God (dubiously power, more death but that's ok)
