But I can reuse a plastic bottle more than 2.5 times. I can't reuse jet fuel more than once.

Only a tiny amount of plastic bottles are reused or even made to be reusable. There's no way to even make a dent in the horrendous waste of bottled beverages without drastically reducing the amount of single use plastic bottles produced.
