I really hope you're wrong about this, although it's something I've considered a lot as well. I agree with everything you're saying, but I just can't shake the idea that what's happening in Florida is a preview of what's to come, and in my eyes there's a severe difference between D and R right now and I genuinely worry for my queer friends especially sometimes. Federal law supercedes any local stuff and the President has been an office which has increasingly used executive action to meet its objectives. Combined with how Congress works.... I think we need to try our damnedest to avoid the implications of that, is all. Biden is the only shot we have right now in that regard 🫠
I urge you to consider that democrats are in power now while events in Florida, Texas and across the country take place.
I didn’t make my original comment to change minds, but to help people feel comfortable saying no to the two party system; so I’m not gonna suggest you don’t vote for Biden, but I will say that if that vote can represent hope for the best do what you can to prepare for the worst.
