OK snowball is actually a cool name. I’m stealing it to my list of potential black cat names.
It was the unofficial name of my black cat. (I inherited it from someone else, but that person was boring and called him Midnight. To me he was forever Snowball, though.)
Snowball is the name of the Simpsons' black cat.
(Technically it's Snowball II, but Snowball was also a black cat)
