Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum was announced to be in development on May 9, 2024 with a planned release in 2026. The script is being developed by Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens and set to be directed by and star Andy Serkis.
Why the absolute fuck does anyone think people want to know more about gollum. Honestly just start making shit up with random brand new characters in the same universe and it'll probably be a better story.
"Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina" presented like "The Ballad of buster Scruggs" was what I had hoped to see when they announced their shitty cinematic universe
