I have been playing it for the past two months. Now I am like 10% through Stormblood.
Overall it's fun. I had never played an MMO so mostly wanted to check that off my bucket list. I got one month from game pass, then bought the starter edition on PC which gave me one month more. I think I will buy one month to finish Stormblood but won't probably play past that.
There are these high level optional boss fights that are difficult versions of the boss fights you find in the story. You can't really wing these fights and the whole party of eight people needs to be coordinated and putting in serious effort. These are very hard to pull off with random parties. Since I don't know people who play this game, I have to rely on random parties which means I won't be able to do all of them. This is the only thing about the game I didn't really like because it's really fun when you are able to pull them off. But they are optional so it's not a big deal.
Shadowbringers is the best expansion though, so you should totally finish that. And Endwalker really ties everything together so you should finish that too :)
