It just needs to be warm lighting. Any cool color lightbulbs don’t belong inside a house (unless it’s a workbench or something)
Warm lighting fucks up the apparent colors of my walls and makes them look quite sickly, because the colors I have don’t mix well with yellow (ime, most bright colors don’t mix well with warm lights, and my colors specifically are mostly in the blue/purple/red side of the color wheel), so you are incorrect.
It’s all about balance; cool lights don’t need to be as intense for the same apparent lumen result. Or, you know, get a shade. I don’t even own any warm lights anymore, but the only real clue is that my walls are the correct color at night..
I guess I just strongly prefer warm colored lighting. Cool colored lighting drives me crazy. To each their own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There's a difference between a 6000k and 4500k light. The latter is still warmer without being yellow. It's usually bellow 3500k that it starts to fuck up with colors. But, a 6500k or more light will also fuck up your wall colors and make the house look like a factory warehouse. It also makes people look sickly and unnatural, and it is known to trigger headaches and migraines. Also, people's opinions can't be incorrect, it's their opinion. Let them have it.
I also use the night mode on my phone and computer 24/7. It gets more red at night.
