Company I work for builds wastewater plants. On Allnthe jobs I've been on so far I've never had to work in a tank that's already had shit ran through it. I usually do concrete and equipment instillation, though recently we've had to do a little bit of demo in their old tanks. My employer wants me to go into the tank with 4" of sludge at the bottom and toilet paper and tampons all over the equipment that needs to be removed. My company wants me to go down there with no protection, and no incentive to rip this stuff out, and they also won't get a hydro vac truck until after demo. Am I crazy that I don't want to go down there? Should I call the hall and go to a different company?
