I honestly don't know what the big deal is. I saw hippos in lots of homes growing up. All they wanted to eat were marbles.
I encountered that a few times growing up too, I'll never forget the ravenous way they murdered every marble they saw without a hint of concern for the devastated marble families left behind .
And it was like some kind of morbid competition!
No, they live mostly off the crumbs of peanut butter on toast.
