A place to post new communities all over Lemmy for discovery and promotion.
Rules
The rules may be more established as time goes on, but it's important to have a foundation to work on.

FAQ:
Q: Why do I get a 404?
A: At least one user in an instance needs to search for a community before it gets fetched. Searching for the community will bring it into the instance and it will fetch a few of the most recent posts without comments. If a user is subscribed to a community, then all of the future posts and interactions are now in-sync.
Q: When I try to create a post, the circle just spins forever. Why is that?
A: This is a current known issue with large communities. Sometimes it does get posted, but just continues spinning, but sometimes it doesn't get posted and continues spinning. If it doesn't actually get posted, the best thing to do is try later. However, only some people seem to be having this problem at the moment.

Thank you, I never saw this one when I was searching for communities, I'll keep an eye on there community to see if people prefer using that one as ATM there's no posts on the community.
Yes, it's early days for a lot of communities - I only spotted it myself yesterday.
Yeah, I'll keep on looking to see if there's any communities for these sorts of games as would love to talk to people about them, even if it is just the larger based games
And it's worth keeping in mind that if no-one on your instance has subscribed to a community on another instance, then you may not be able to easily find it. Worth using an external search engine.
Good to keep in mind, I will most likely be putting a post my own community to say to go to the other one
Redundancy isn't a bad thing in the Fediverse, it has its upsides, as the recent outages demonstrated.
However, an argument could be made that, at least for smaller communities splitting efforts might stifle growth. You could have a word with the moderator over there and offer to help out - it's quite quiet now but that won't last.
That's a great idea as would love to make it grow further
And that's the kind of enthusiasm that'll make it happen!
