I still feel like a neophyte when it comes to unRaid even after the last 3-4 months. Recently I had an issue where one of my pool drives became corrupted and after swapping out I realized I had to redo all my prior configurations/apps/vm's/etc.
Question 1:
What is the best configuration for when just a single drive dies. Right now I just have two 1tb pool drives configured to just 1tb. I also have a single 10tb array drive with a 12tb parity drive. How can I config this so basically if any single drive ever goes down it will then just use the other drive so I can swap the bad drive out and I am rolling again.
Question 2:
What is a good backup strategy for complete system malfunction (cpu dies, multiple drive failures, catches on fire, etc). So basically if the system ever goes south I will still at least have the data so I can start over again.
