Looks like rubber
new-york style bagels are boiled instead of baked, which gives them a smooth shiny outside
they're still baked of course, but boiling is the essential step that makes em chewy & shiny
Aww they should at least spice the colors up with different herbs for flavor. Good enough to sprinkle some fresh dill on.
