“In order to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and individuals, we needed to act,” the studio wrote in a statement. “For this reason, we are terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm immediately. While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all individuals involved, especially the fifty-five developers and families we have employed along with our community of players.

Name a more iconic combo than these:

  • Cookies and milk
  • Steak and frites
  • Peanut butter and chocolate
  • Being a streamer and liking kids sexually

He should have his medical license revoked as well

The fact that they did their own investigation and found enough to cut ties speaks volumes imo. I'm sure they can't say anything else due to legal shenanigans or something

why does it keep happening that famous people are pedophiles?

[-] stoly@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

It's because there are more pedophiles than anyone wants to admit and many of those who live a truly blessed life think they can get away with it. What you're seeing is that this is a big problem and nobody is doing anything to help.

Because you hear news about the famous ones. You don't hear news about the not famous ones.

Wiki is already updated. Sucks this guy sucks. Mad props to the studio though, they terminated a working relationship with their more prominent supporter when they could have tried to ignore the allegations.

Another former employee corroborated the story to The Verge. Dr Disrespect responded on Twitter by stating that the legal case was settled and "no wrongdoing was acknowledged".

Oh my God that's as good as an admission.
