Yup, I used to always donate plasma but eventually they stopped letting me go in because my blood pressure was too high for their standards, I didn't think too much of it and it stayed that way for years with me feeling fine. One day i went in for my normal med check as you do and they took my blood pressure, it was with a new doctor so I told them "its gonna be pretty high". Doc took one look at it, then at me, and just said " go to the hospital”

Today was Aortic Aneurysm Awareness Day. Hypertension can weaken arteries and cause aneurysms (aortic or otherwise) to rupture. Be aware of family history of sudden death or arterial dissection and hypertension. If anyone has had these, get your children, siblings, and parents checked out too and consider meeting with a geneticist if you're unusually young.
The title sounds like ok but who specifically?!
Well, me. Went to the doctor for the first time in years for something unrelated. Took my blood pressure and it was super high.
