I concede this isn't "news," but it's too good not to share!

Okay, that's a story you couldn't make up

I'm unsure as to why the occurrences of 'murdered' are censored.

I hate this trend so much. Is everyone on the internet supposed to be 8years old or something?

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

Well conservative snowflakes might get their feelings hurt and blame it on "the children" that they're allegedly protecting.

TikTok and Instagram are very picky about language and will algorithmically suppress you if you use words they deem to be "brand-risky." As a response we now have people on social media training themselves to cover up letters in perfectly normal words, say "unalive" instead of "die/kill," etc.

Ah interesting. I'm not on those so I was unaware. Thnx!

don't forget the creativity like "deleted from the census" or "bought the farm" or "bit the dust", etc. There is a poetry to avoiding a filter.

HOLY shit that was quite a ride. Thanks for posting this, that made me unreasonably happy. Well, and also sad for a few seconds.

Based on the title, I was expecting it to end with a handjob

This is news just as much as any celebrity news is.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

Well that was different. Good for them I guess?

Graveyard? Happy ending? You sure this doesn't involve necrophilia? 🤨

This is an article of just screenshoted tweets! Fuck this whole website!

The internet has become just five websites, each posting screenshots of the other four.

This is not a trend I like. Websites have gotten so fucking lazy...
