I made a joke once in mid school that a girls hair was showing. she took it very seriously and wanted to know where so she could fix it. It was at point I felt immense guilt. Learned a very important lesson about how they feel about it. Ripping their Hijabs off is far worst then anything I did and not having the empathy to learn from it is ridiculous for the people that are meant to protect.

I remember vividly this happening in school in the early 2000s. A kid ripped off a poor girl's hijab and we as a class had a conversation about why that was so utterly disrespectful and awful. It was described to us as being like ripping off someone's underwear. I think the kid was just being a little rowdy and had no idea what it meant, and he was upset too (this was elementary school). That was when I learned what a hijab was, the respect that people that wear it deserve, and the respect that we should all share for each other.

I never really felt the brunt of the Bush "terrorist" propaganda but I remember it infusing little parts of my life growing up. I guess these pigs were brainwashed by that very propaganda. I also suspect that this has been happening for decades, and probably dates back to those bad old days of the early 2000s. I can't help but wonder if that kid was influenced by Bush's propaganda too.
