That looks like some sort of beaked yokai, some of the creatures/spirits of folk lore are depicted as pious.

No, they are not.
Well, they're avialans, which are paravians, which are maniraptorans, which are coelurosaurs, which are tetanurans, which are theropods, which may be saurischians according to the most mainstream classification, or ornithoscelidae according to an alternate hypothesis, either way they're dinosaurs, which are avemetatarsalians, which are archosaurs, which are diapsids, which are #REPTILES.
So what, we are all reptiles then?
Nah, mammals aren't reptiles. We're synapsids, which is a sister group to reptiles. Early synapsids lime dimetrodon looked and behaved like reptiles, but aren't really classifies as such.
I even have a few friends that are reptilian, they're not all bad.
Really, it's the few bad reptilians that secretly rule the world that give the rest of the reptilians who just want to hide in the skin suits of the humans they eat a bad name.
