Remember when we spent thousands to get iPhones, iMacs, Apple TVs, and iPads and the software worked together seamlessly? Remember when you extincted that software we had purchased and replaced it with subscriptions?

Are you suggesting that people don’t buy the headset because lots of software has subscriptions now?

Not that.

But just because they sell it to you and it is perfect, doesn’t mean Apple will let you continue to use what you bought without a bunch of new charges they think up you for it once you have fallen in love with it.

What full access are you talking about? Full access to the video feed? Full excess to everything?

I don’t mean like full disk access, but full access to the cameras and lidar and whatever fun sensors they have. They will provide more over time, but for now it’s limited.
