Just one more reason why we should be keeping companies from collecting our data and looking like anyone else to them. Typically it is argued that data is subsidizing something, but here it is directly increasing your costs.

Corporations would literally beat down your door and rob your grandmother in front of you at gunpoint if it was ~~legal~~ profitable to do so.

We must demand regulation to reign in their greed.

Websites track you in various ways including fingerprinting, random injected javascript code and other stuff. I'd recommend to at least get the uBlockOrigin addon to block trackers.
