That's probably the point behind the whole endeavour - force Russia to divert forces from the main frontline to defend their borders.

By the time these are put up they're long gone

It’s more about things like where material is being transferred, what the recurring flightpaths are, how high do they tend to fly off the ground etc.

Information is power, especially in war
