Paint 3D was supposed to replace MS Paint at one point.

A shame because I actually use Paimt3D quite a bit for editing images quick and dirty. Hopefully some of the features make it to Paint before long

Microsoft has now put most of its focus on the existing Paint app within Windows 11 instead, adding some of Photoshop’s best features to the app and even updating it with AI-powered features.

Oh. AI features. Grand.

This is why friends don't let friends use Microsoft software.

I'll ride my windows 10 for a while still. But then? Seeing how amazing my steam deck is I'll jump on the Linux bandwagon

You'll love it.

For quick and dirty editing gimp should be fine too.

My thoughts exactly. I don't know anyone personally that uses Paint 3D, and I myself plan on switching to Linux by November anyway.

I did actually use this for a bit to scale some 3d printer files for a star trek RPG I was doing. I wanted all the ships to be in scale with each other.

It wasn't a terrible app to be fair. I had no real experience with 3d modelling and I was able to open this up and do what I wanted. Eventually I even managed to kit bash together some of my own ship designs.
