After having to shelve Fallout New Vegas for a bit because it was bugging out with vats, and picking up L.A. Noire again to scratch that same itch. I remembered why it was so addicting.

spoilerhere's a screenshot i took while doing the last case in the Homicide desk. This was i believe the second clue where i had to climb the chandelier

Shame there‘s no successor to that game (that I know of)

The studio closed, alongside some major scandals about how badly they abused their employees. They were working on another game that ended up getting canceled when they closed down.

I believe Rockstar/Take Two still own the IP but have no interest in using it at this time, and it's been long enough that not many people remember it or have much sentimental attachment, so I wouldn't expect anything new anytime soon.

There was a VR version that came out a few years ago that sparked a brief revival, and initially it was really fun. But of course Rockstar doesn't care to maintain it, so now there's a ton of issues if you try to play it these days. Last I checked a lot of people who bought it where full on locked out because of activation key issues.

Lovely game with a great story!

The downside was that the interviews were sometimes a bit awkward and you were supposed to use non verbal cues to get clues about someone lying or not. It was a tad too ambitious I guess, as even in real life you can’t really guess.

I can get the faces were awkward. My only complaint really though is the car chases. Because I’ll try to drive through something that I usually can in other games like a Chain Link fence only to be stopped dead in my tracks. Can be really frustrating when trying to catch someone

Well I never tried driving through a chain link as it would just destroy your car in real life and you might get really injured if the chain is solid enough 😅

Ow wow, good for you for getting into this game! I really tried to like the game back then but I could get the lore
