Why another "Addons 4 Kodi"?

Since all "Addons 4 Kodi" communities are on huge instances (.world, .ml) and the one on .ml seems extra dead, I decided to put one on here.

Why here?

I develop and troubleshoot kodi addons in my free time. This community is for discussion and mutual help. Feel free to post which addons you like and dislike, which work well for you and which dont. Dont forget to mention the version you are using and the platform.

As always on lemmy.giftedmc.com, chatiquette/netiquette applies.
Also, no politics or other wildly off topic things.
The language used in this community is english so please only post in english. This has moderation and usability reasons as not every client app has translation built in.
Please abstain from senseless hating and other forms of trolling.

The peertube kodi addon has been unavailable for a long time and it's sad because peertube has a lot of cool videos.

That's why I decided to make a new one for the python 3 generation of kodi. It is available on the official repository under "next gen peertube addon" or plugin.video. pt

The app is pretty basic but works (tested on kodi for linux). Disclaimer: For some reason, the libreelec version of kodi does not seem to work with it yet. I'm troubleshooting the issue atm.

Feel free to download and test the app, check the source on github and leave a star or support the project if you wish.

Quick update:

Since the official release doesnt work on libreelec yet, at least not for me, I released a hotfix on github so you can use that instead until the official repo is updated.
