Been a long time since I went to Amsterdam, but the museums are def one of the high points

Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum are definitely worth a visit, if you're into modern art then the Stedelijk Museum as well.

Nemo is also cool, it's a science museum, so it has a lot of interactive exhibits and demonstrations and stuff

There's also a museum of sex which is supposedly pretty interesting, a friend of mine went there and had a pretty good time

The Amsterdam Dungeon is really fun, it's a series of rooms with actors presenting the darker sides of the Amsterdam history. They make the visitors a part of the show.

There's a popular cafe called Winkel 43 that serves the best apple pie ever if you're in the Jordaan district. It's a cute little spot for a breakfast date if it isn't too crowded.

Its also short distance from the Anne Frank house if you're interested. I don't remember exactly, but I think you can reserve a time for a tour. The line can be up to like a two hour wait in the summertime otherwise.
