Time to build a citronella, peppermint, cedar, lemongrass, lavender, catnip, and patchouli scented "moat" around your house. Not a real moat, stagnant water does the exact opposite.
Also note, it's the scent of some of these like citronella, not the plant itself they don't like. Just planting them won't do anything.
