One single defection could destroy the PAC, but even if it doesn't, it's a huge validation for Brett Yormark and the nuB12. I am so curious now about what numbers Kliavkoff has been floating for the PAC media deal.
College Football
Oh I absolutely think the Pac's dead. It's just a matter of where the remaining members go. I'd be shocked if we don't see Oregon and Washington to the Big 10 by the end of the calendar. Maybe Oregon State and Washington State go with them? The other members don't really have a (strong) chance at either of the two major power conferences.
This is all so weird. Whispers of UW, though I think even if they pull the trigger I think it would be only for the current media deal. I'd almost prefer to just get Arizona done and let my B12 settle into this new world we're in.
I still don't love that OUT left, but the B12 has handled it so much better than the PAC did USCLA. If nothing else, the timing worked out way better.
As a Texas fan (and alum) I actually heard rumours of the Big Ten and was hoping we'd go there just because of the academic reputation of those schools compared to the SEC. But it is what it is. At least I'll get to give my Aggie friends shit when we beat them again.
What are they, Pac-9 now?
LFG!! Both my alma maters are back together once again! Always bleed black & Orange/Gold!!
Orange and gold? Who...?
OkSt - undergrad (Orange/Black)
CU - post grad (Black/Gold)
Black and Orange/Gold
Oh lmao I was racking my brain to figure out who wore orange and gold. Derp moment.
Holy shit they actually did it, the madlads
