I accidentally picked too large a cup size and realized I have no idea how to stop the brew. I remember this happening once at an office Keurig and we just opened the lid making a hot mess everywhere. Is there really no way of emergency stopping the brew?

I’ve definitely unplugged it in a moment of panic and that worked.

I have a first gen Keurig and I can achieve the same effect by pressing the power button mid-brew.

I’m using the WiFi version. The power button is the brew button. Pressing or long pressing doesn’t stop it.

Pull the plug? Bonus: Also works when you're being hacked.

Usually you'd press the same button you used to start brewing, but every brand does it differently

That was my first action. It did not work out.

Press the power button to turn the machine off.
