So I know Im getting mocked for this as I am an absolute newbie and probably gets asked a lot here but worth the try I guess...

After doing some research on this page megathread I found a pge listed by this sub called audiotools "dot" in as a (I believe) a trusted source. My intention was to try and download software from their page on an Imac. My plan was to download the file as Direct Download and run the keygen with some wine distribution. The imac is running on macos catalina (pretty old), but the installation of software had no problem. I didn't try runing the keygen cause I wanted to be sure the file was clean (as many discussion have listed the site to have had viruses on the past). So I did what was listed on the megathread to try and check the file on virus total and the image show the results of 47/75 antivirus found malicious software on the keygen.exe. Having said this here are my questions.

Is this an obvious malware and should be discarded?

Is it possible that all are false positives cause the nature of the file being a keygen makes the antiviruses raise automatic red flags?

And an extra question, would running this exe make the keygen work (asuming its clean), and if it's not clean would it be able to run the trojan on macos?

Thanks in advance for accepting such a dumb question
