It could also soon get discontinued. With Google, you never really know...

This theme is a little too dark

People still use this app?

[–] SecretSauces@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I use it to fund the in-app purchases for some games I play. For SuperCell games, I won't give them a dime of my real money, but I'll definitely use Google's.

I used it for PokΓ©mon Go

Sure, free coins 😁

Yah, why not? I had $15 to just answer questions. If you're smart just answer them with whatever and the longer you make the survey the more you'll make.

The last time I had tried some 4-5years I would hardly get any surveys. I figured it was s waste of time. So, uninstalled the app.

I got like Β£10 off of it

Longer you make? As in, if you don't just speed through them?

[–] SecretSauces@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Longer as in, more questions.

Anecdotally, I've noticed if you choose a "wrong" answer on some questions, it'll stop the survey and just pay you whatever rate per question answered.

It seems the first question is usually a litmus test to see if you're answering reasonably truthfully or not, such as "Which of these did you most recently visit?" with some answers being bogus names or businesses not located around you, and one correct answer based on location data Google already has.

Yeah the 20 pence a month it gives me makes a massive difference.

Only five years late

Welcome to 2019

As a lean startup, they definitely didn't have the resources to implement dark mode in an app with a single view

It's not available in my country πŸ˜ͺ
