I wonder who was that girl in the end? I assume she must be related to their reincarnation or his being's death.

Interesting idea.

This episode is a set up for something big. Aqua is going back to the site of his death(not 100% sure). Ruby got to fire up a composer for a banger that they will surely sing at the final.

Aqua's revenge coming to an end without closure to him and just switching plot to Ruby really enhances the dissatisfaction in the viewer. I love it.

Another Avan-garde short film to our collection

An AVIF animated image with couple of seconds of composer and Ruby in some dream like space

Yeah, they are going to be filming nearby to where Aqua died in his previous life (Ruby also actually since she died under his care), that is why he thought of the hospital when they told him where they are going to be staying.

The dissatisfaction that is shared with the reader/viewer and Aqua at having an unfulfilled revenge plot is something I hadn't considered before. Aqua is currently questioning what his purpose in life should be much like we are now questioning what is the driving force of the show.

We're finally going to see more Ruby, she has been a side character so far.

Agree that it was nice to see Ruby outside of the ED this season. The B Komachi girls are managing to stay busy.

So much good stuff in this episode...

The moment Aqua realizes his reason for living is over...

The "arrows" from Ruby into Mem,

and Kana totally not being interested if Aqua joins them on this trip...

[–] wjs018@ani.social 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ruby was really twisting the knife in Mem this episode. All of that despite all of the work that Mem has done to get B Komachi to where it is.

I don't think Ruby was doing just to be catty, but she's just reciting principles from the JPop Idol 101 textbook.

Ahhh I just can't! Ruby is so cute it's off the charts! Also this has to be my favorite frame from entire series.
