The first season of the anime adaptation can be found on Netflix. Season 2 is confirmed and presumably currently in production.

DO NOT SPOIL THE ANIME WATCHERS

This is so that the anime watchers can sub to the community without worry of seeing posts that would spoil later parts of the story. This includes manga pages and panels, mentioning characters, fanart, etc.

Parent instance rules also apply, of course.

Just started watching this show because of this post, I binged 9 episodes right away. I haven’t enjoyed something this carefree and fun in a while.

Episode 11 was one of my favorite single episodes of anime in the past year for me. Look forward to it!

I finished binging the show yesterday, but I didn’t feel anything strongly about episode 11. I think… the most interesting or memorable episode was probably the one with the mushroom circle for me.

Either way, I LOVE cooking at home. So, every single cooking montage is like my favorite thing ever. Which sort of makes it difficult to pick a favorite.

I LOVE cooking at home

Oh man, you are speaking my language. I just wrote about how I have become a fan of the cooking genre of anime/manga as I have gotten older. If you haven't seen it, you might want to check out Campfire Cooking in Another World. It does a bit of a mix between fantasy ingredients and irl brands and ingredients.

As for Episode 11, the thing that made it really stand out to me was how the OST was employed and it marked a major turning point for the show in tone. I wrote a ton more about it in the episode discussion thread. Now that you have watched it, you can go in without worrying about spoilers.

Episode one is premium only on Crunchyroll, and I don’t see anywhere else to catch it. 🤷‍♂️

Got any other feel good and equally fun dungeon or cooking related recommendations?

Edit: Buh, I suffered through the Japanese version for the first episode to get to the free English dub… but apparently English is entirely locked behind premium.

Edit 2: just downloaded crunchyroll to see this show, and the second episode, still in Japanese, had two commercial breaks before the intro finished.

I am not really that familiar with the non-premium experience on CR (or the dub version of the show), so I can't really help you too much there. Sailing the high seas of the internet is always an option. As much as I am an advocate for supporting official distribution channels, sometimes they are just really, really bad (HiDIVE used to be horrendous, but has gotten a bit better with some time).

Yeah, I’m using a PS, hot spotted off of my iPhone. So, my options are very limited.

The manga is my favorite of all time, that trigger is adapting the anime is a dream come true, and the first season was literally perfect.

I love to see this wonderful piece of media spread, it's an absolute masterpiece and the story in season 2 will only get even better.

I used to watch a lot of anime, but after I got through all the classics up to the late 2000's, more modern titles never held my attention quite as well, so I shifted to manga for more interesting story lines with great art work. But delicious in dungeon has been so good that I find myself rewatching season 1 and anticipation for the next, rather than risking my suspense by reading the source material instead.

If you want, you can search for "Daydream Hour", " World Guide" and "Monster Tidbits" in the community. You'll find posts by me featuring pages from the artbooks and bonus chapters that the anime didn't adapt, which I posted during the airing of season 1.

They don't spoil anything about the second half of the series, but you'll learn a shitload of lore.
