Every food company making a subsidiary that gives out environmental/ethical awards to them:
A tag on a package is just another portion of otherwise precious resources going to waste.
While we keep busying ourselves jumping at each others figurative throats over moral stances on dietary options nothing is truly done to impact in a meaningful way the multimillion/billion industry at the heart of the issue.
Good practices, humane practices, are not incompatible with rasing animals for food. We don't need to lock and stack animals like we do with humans and this is being done, usually by people that will never want those moral-washing tags and awards anywhere near them.
tbf if they wanted to actually be humane, they would have to shut themselves down
"we're doing everything we can"
