Defence is when you protect your country's borders, not when you go around attacking other countries like they have been doing for the last decades. There's a word for it: offense.

I wonder if we'll ever move past human soldiers entirely, and have robots fight proxy wars, like a giant international international game of battlebots. Could further reduce loss of life and human suffering.
